PCB Assembler

Job Title: PCB Assembler/ Skilled AssemblerLocation: StevenageSalary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annumOverview: We have an urgent requirement, our client is seeking multiple skilled PCB Assemblers to join their business. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling printed circuit boards to a high standard, working from technical drawings and specifications. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience working with both through-hole and surface mount components.Key Responsibilities:\n

• Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using through-hole and/or surface mount (SMT) techniques
\n
• Work from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
\n
• Solder components including resistors, capacitors, ICs, and connectors
\n
• Inspect and test assembled boards to ensure quality standards are met
\n
• Identify and report faults or inconsistencies in components or documentation
\n
• Rework and repair PCBs where required
\n
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with health & safety standards
\n

Requirements:\n

\n
• Previous experience in PCB assembly
\n
• Strong soldering skills (through-hole and/or SMT)
\n
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
\n
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
\n
• Good manual dexterity
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n

Desirable:\n

\n
• Experience working with older design boards
\n
• Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g. IPC-A-610)
\n
• Experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
\n
