Job Description

Mobile Combustion Engineer Mon-Fri 8am-5PM 1 week in 7 on call London Job Summary: Responsible for carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance, providing engineering support, and ensuring the safe, efficient operation of building services. Acts as the main engineering contact, delivering high-quality technical and customer service, supervising contractors, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and building strong working relationships while supporting continuous professional development. Key working Relationships: Contract Manager Operations Director Contract Support Site Manager Sub-contractor representative Local Facilities Manager Key Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed reports on required works as requested by the Contract Manager. • Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is completed on building plant, equipment, and systems within scheduled timeframes. • Carry out general electrical maintenance, inspection, testing, and repairs across building developments. • Diagnose faults and perform effective fault-finding to minimize downtime. • Maintain accurate records and produce comprehensive maintenance and compliance reports. • Hold and apply Gas Safety qualifications in accordance with current regulations. • Close out completed reactive maintenance works in line with site procedures and escalate outstanding issues to the Contract Support team. • Conduct proactive inspections and complete all necessary remedial repairs to maintain asset performance. • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests issued by the Helpdesk, ensuring all client KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved. • Submit work reports, timesheets, and all required documentation to office support within agreed timescales. • Diagnose and repair breakdowns across a range of building services as required. • Complete detailed work reports following each maintenance task, ensuring the CAFM system is updated with accurate asset history, equipment condition, and details of replaced components. • Coordinate and schedule in-house engineers to deliver both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works, monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
