Job Title: Lead Maintenance EngineerLocation: Wigan (WN3)Salary: Up to £45,000 per annumHours: Monday- Friday 06:00- 15:00Contract: PermanentOur client is a well-established chemical manufacturing company who supply high-quality products and bespoke manufacturing solutions to customers across a wide range of industries are looking for an experienced Lead Maintenance Engineer.With a hands-on, proactive approach you will oversee all maintenance activities on site. You will play a key role in ensuring the manufacturing and filling equipment operates safely, reliably, and effectively while leading continuous improvement across the maintenance function.As a Lead Maintenance Engineer your duties will be: -Carry out hands-on mechanical maintenance and fault finding (electrical experience is desirable).Develop and manage preventive maintenance programmes.Lead and coordinate all planned and reactive maintenance activities.Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including PLC-controlled equipment were applicable.Lead and support the maintenance team, reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.Source equipment, spare parts, and maintenance supplied as required.Support, coach, and develop maintenance team members.The successful Lead Maintenance Engineer will have the following skills: -Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing, chemical or process environment.Strong mechanical skills with electrical knowledge (PLC experience would be advantageous).Experience leading and supervising a maintenance team.Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.Good communication and organisational skills.Competent IT skills for maintaining maintenance records.Additional Information20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Bonus.Pension scheme.On site free parking.TPBN1_UKTJ
