\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join a well-regarded and growing accountancy practice based in Tunbridge Wells
\nThis role is ideally suited to a qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) who enjoys working closely with clients, leading teams, and delivering high-quality accounting and tax services. Experience within a practice essential.
\n\nThe Opportunity
\nIn this role, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor across a range of accounting and tax matters. Alongside this, you will play a key role in overseeing workflow, maintaining standards, and supporting the development of the wider team.
\nKey duties will include:

- Managing a varied client portfolio and acting as the main point of contact \n
- Leading client meetings and providing practical, tailored advice \n
- Reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns to ensure compliance with relevant regulations \n
- Planning and allocating work to ensure deadlines and priorities are met \n
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and presentation across all deliverables \n
- Supporting year-end compliance work, including P11Ds and other reporting requirements \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency \n
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships \n
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members \n
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with professional and regulatory standards \n
About You
\nYou will be a confident and commercially aware individual with experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
\nYou will ideally:
\n- \n
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience \n
- Have experience managing a portfolio of clients \n
- Possess strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax \n
- Be confident reviewing work and maintaining compliance standards \n
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills \n
- Be comfortable using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or similar \n
- Have experience supporting or supervising junior staff (advantageous) \n
