The Opportunity

An established automotive retailer is seeking a Parts Advisor to join its busy dealership team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual with parts experience or a strong technical background to develop their career within a successful and professional aftersales operation.

The Role

\n

As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting customers and internal departments with their vehicle parts requirements. You will play a key role in the efficient running of the parts department, ensuring accurate stock management, excellent customer service, and timely parts distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a professional and courteous service when handling customer enquiries.
  • \n
  • Promote products and services while adhering to company procedures and pricing policies.
  • \n
  • Accurately order, receive, check, and store vehicle parts.
  • \n
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies or damaged items.
  • \n
  • Process warranty and exchange parts returns, ensuring all required documentation is completed correctly.
  • \n
  • Prepare and return chargeable items in line with manufacturer and company guidelines.
  • \n
  • Pack and dispatch parts safely to customers and business partners.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with both internal departments and external customers.
  • \n
  • Keep customer and prospect records up to date.
  • \n

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A technical qualification or previous experience working with vehicle parts.

  • Good IT skills and confidence using computer-based systems.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • \n
  • 08:30am - 6:00pm
  • \n
  • 1-hour lunch break
  • \n
