Job Description
Our client is seeking a Legal Counsel specialising in projects and construction to join their in house legal function, you'll play a key role in supporting the legal needs of an energy and natural resources organisation. This role involves advising on a variety of legal matters to ensure the smooth delivery of projects and compliance with industry regulations.

\nDescription
\n- \n
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating multimillion-pound supply, manufacturing, installation and framework agreements. Lead complex negotiations with major EPC clients, contractors and suppliers. \n
- Advise on the full contract life cycle across our engineering, design and installation projects, from tender and bid support through to delivery, variations and completion. \n
- Support with the Development and maintenance of contract templates, playbooks and guidance that enable the business to move quickly and confidently on routine matters. \n
- Support business development, tenders and bids for major infrastructure projects. \n
- Identify, assess and communicate commercial and legal risk in a way the business can act on. \n
- Support the GC and Senior Legal Counsel in developing and embedding legal policies, frameworks and compliance processes across the business. \n
- Contribute to our strong ESG, sustainability and governance agenda. \n
Profile
\nA successful Legal Counsel - Projects/Construction should have:
\n\n- \n
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 2-4 years PQE \n
- Projects and/or construction experience. \n
- Demonstrable experience drafting and negotiating substantial commercial and project agreements, ideally including high-value contracts. \n
- Commercially astute and pragmatic. \n
- A natural relationship-builder who embeds as a business partner and communicates clearly with non-lawyers. \n
- Sound judgement, attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset. \n
