We are excited to invite a dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster.

About the Role\n

As the Registered Manager, you will hold the key responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home. Your leadership will ensure that we deliver a high-quality level of care, promoting the rights of young people and supporting their transitions into adulthood.

Main Responsibilities\n

• Service and Practice: Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with relevant legislation, regulations, and organizational policies.
\n
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of care workers to achieve positive outcomes for young people in their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.
\n
• Record Keeping: Maintain appropriate records for both young people and staff, implementing monitoring and evaluation systems.
\n
• Meetings: Prepare for and chair various internal and external meetings.
\n
• On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in on-call duties and cover sleep-in shifts as needed.
\n
• Admissions Oversight: Manage all admissions and discharges to the home.
\n

Human Resource Management\n

• Involve in the recruitment of new employees and ensure all relevant checks are completed.
\n
• Oversee staff induction, supervision, and appraisal in line with organizational policy.
\n
• Ensure continuous professional development of the staff team, meeting all mandatory training requirements.
\n

Management of Resources\n

\n
• Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met.
\n
• Ensure the maintenance of service premises and equipment meets all requirements.
\n

External Affairs\n

\n
• Promote the organization positively with external agencies and the public.
\n
• Liaise with commissioners regarding admissions.
\n

Required Attributes\n

\n
• Enthusiasm for providing the highest quality care and education.
\n
• Experience in managing a team.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
\n

Working Conditions\n

This is a full-time, permanent position with a commitment of 39 hours per week. Some office days will be required for administrative duties.
