We are excited to invite a dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster.
About the Role\nAs the Registered Manager, you will hold the key responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home. Your leadership will ensure that we deliver a high-quality level of care, promoting the rights of young people and supporting their transitions into adulthood.
Main Responsibilities\n- \n
- Service and Practice: Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with relevant legislation, regulations, and organizational policies. \n
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of care workers to achieve positive outcomes for young people in their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development. \n
- Record Keeping: Maintain appropriate records for both young people and staff, implementing monitoring and evaluation systems. \n
- Meetings: Prepare for and chair various internal and external meetings. \n
- On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in on-call duties and cover sleep-in shifts as needed. \n
- Admissions Oversight: Manage all admissions and discharges to the home. \n

- Involve in the recruitment of new employees and ensure all relevant checks are completed. \n
- Oversee staff induction, supervision, and appraisal in line with organizational policy. \n
- Ensure continuous professional development of the staff team, meeting all mandatory training requirements. \n

- Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met. \n
- Ensure the maintenance of service premises and equipment meets all requirements. \n
- \n
- Promote the organization positively with external agencies and the public. \n
- Liaise with commissioners regarding admissions. \n
- \n
- Enthusiasm for providing the highest quality care and education. \n
- Experience in managing a team. \n
- Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures. \n
This is a full-time, permanent position with a commitment of 39 hours per week. Some office days will be required for administrative duties.
