Waking Night Support Worker

At Bright Futures, we champion the potential of every person with autism and a learning disability, believing wholeheartedly in their ability to thrive and lead the most fulfilling lives.Our Warrington Children's home is a three storey property in the centre of Warrington supporting five children aged 7-18 with a diagnosis of autism and learning disabilities. The home has three lounges, an expansive garden with a basket swing and an enclosed flagged area for riding bikes and outdoor play. Brunel is within walking distance of local shops and parks and just a short drive to the town centre. The children we support here enjoy trips out, sensory play at home, and regular visits to see family.As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will help people feel safe settled and well supported throughout the night. You will lead by example, maintaining the highest standards of support and care offering calm guidance to colleagues and helping to maintain a caring positive environment. Your role will include checking on people supported at the home throughout the night, accurately recording anything important and responding to any changes or concerns. You will also develop strong relationships with the team and the people we support to ensure a calm, positive and reassuring environment.What we're looking for:Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable (waking night experience beneficial but not essential).A care-related qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Health & Social Care or equivalent) is desirable.Warm, person-centred approach with a strong focus on safeguarding, wellbeing and maintaining professional boundaries.Calm, resilient and proactive with the ability to work independently overnight and respond appropriately in unexpected situations.Strong communication and teamwork skills, ensuring accurate recording, confident lone working, and effective handover with the day care team.Hourly pay that recognises your developmentWe recognise experience, qualifications and the additional responsibilities you take on.
