We’re looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead a busy purchasing function, manage the team, oversee suppliers and ensure stock and imports are delivered efficiently and on time. This is a hands-on management role working closely with Sales, Logistics and Product teams, ensuring purchasing strategy, stock levels and supplier performance support the wider business. The Role * Lead, manage and develop the Purchasing team * Oversee purchasing, stock control and import requirements * Manage supplier relationships, performance and negotiations * Monitor stock levels, planning and incoming shipments * Work closely with Logistics to coordinate transport, warehousing and stock movements * Analyse stock data and produce management reports * Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and costs * Ensure ISO/AEO and company procedures are maintained * Support purchasing strategy and wider business objectives * Manage workloads, objectives, training and performance across the team About You We’re looking for a confident, experienced and personable manager with a background in purchasing, logistics, supply chain or transport. You’ll be: * A strong people manager who leads with positivity and empathy * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail * Commercially aware and confident working with data * A natural problem solver who enjoys finding solutions * Proactive, hands-on and comfortable in a fast-paced environment * Confident using Excel and ERP systems * Experienced in stock management, purchasing and imports * A great communicator who can build relationships across the business This is a key role for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes and making things happen, within a successful international business operating in the construction sector
