Job Title: Precision Assembly Operative Location: YorkSalary: £12.71 per hourHours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexible start/finish times) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Precision Assembly Operative to join a successful and growing organisation based in York. Working within a modern manufacturing facility, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in precision assembly, manufacturing, machine operation or a hands on production environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a supportive and forward thinking business.Responsibilities of Precision Assembly Operative:\n

  • Assemble products in line with work instructions, production schedules and quality requirements
  • \n
  • Carry out precision / hand assembly where required
  • \n
  • Operate production and inspection equipment following company procedures and training
  • \n
  • Complete quality checks, visual inspections and production documentation accurately
  • \n
  • Follow procedures and maintain high manufacturing standards
  • \n
  • Identify and report any issues affecting quality, efficiency or production output
  • \n
  • Ensure materials are handled correctly to minimise waste
  • \n
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment
  • \n
  • Support continuous improvement activities and suggest process improvements
  • \n
  • Work closely with colleagues and team leaders to meet production requirements
  • \n
Skills & Experience:\n
    \n
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, precision assembly or machine operating environment is desirable
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and consistently
  • \n
  • Good manual dexterity and the ability to work with precision
  • \n
  • A practical and technical mindset with a willingness to learn new skills
  • \n
  • Ability to follow processes, written instructions and diagrams carefully
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities
  • \n
  • Positive, reliable and team focused approach
  • \n
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
