Are you an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a leading UK manufacturing business? We're recruiting for a skilled engineer to join a busy production site in Coalville, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.

\n

Working in a fast paced manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the installation of new equipment.

The Role

\n

As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

\n
    \n
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs, with a focus on electrical and automation systems.
  • \n
  • Diagnosing faults using PLCs, HMIs, alarms, instrumentation, and electrical test equipment.
  • \n
  • Repairing and maintaining motors, drives, sensors, encoders, servo systems, safety circuits, and other control equipment.
  • \n
  • Supporting control system upgrades and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
  • \n
  • Completing inspections, testing, calibration, adjustments, and safety checks.
  • \n
  • Complete mechanical tasks such as bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, and alignment.
  • \n
  • Performing routine maintenance on site services including boilers, compressors, chillers, fire and sprinkler systems, and water hygiene systems.
  • \n
  • Investigating recurring equipment faults, identifying root causes, and working with Production and Engineering teams to implement long-term solutions.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate records using the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • \n
  • Assisting with the installation, commissioning, testing, and handover of new or modified equipment.
  • \n
  • Participating in training and developing skills across a range of production equipment and maintenance disciplines.
  • \n
About You\n

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

\n
    \n
  • A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • \n
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
  • \n
  • At least 3 years' maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • \n
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • A good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • \n
  • Flexibility and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
