Job Description
Cloud Analyst- Platform Engineering
\nWe are currently recruiting for a Cloud Analyst with AI experience to join one of our Insurance clients on a 6-month contract.

\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Develop, implement, and maintain Azure, AWS and OCI Policy definitions, initiatives, and assignments to enforce enterprise governance and compliance standards as outlined by Architectural Standards. \n
- Support the design, evolution and maintenance of cloud guardrails that enable secure, repeatable, and compliant AWS and OCI consumption at scale. \n
- Analyze cloud environments for policy violations, configuration drift, and risk exposure, providing actionable recommendations to engineering and business partners. \n
- Collaborate with Solution Engineering and DevOps teams to integrate compliance controls into Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines. \n
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical standards, runbooks, and governance documentation. \n
- Assist Team colleagues in monitoring and assignment of intake support requests. \n
- Support responses to business leaders and stakeholders by translating technical compliance findings into clear, business-relevant insights. \n
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance governance automation, reporting, and self-service capabilities. \n
- Assist IT and LOB colleagues with Cloud Resource Standards adherence. \n
Experience
\n- \n
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a cloud or infrastructure engineering role. \n
- Working knowledge of AWS, with experience in compute and core platform services (e.g., AWS Virtual Machines, App Services, networking fundamentals). Additional OCI experience preferred. \n
- Practical experience with AWS Policy, including authoring, testing, or maintaining policies or initiatives. \n
- Experience and willingness to learn Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, or equivalent. \n
- Familiarity with DevOps methods, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (e.g., Git). \n
- Basic understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance concepts. \n
- Exposure to cloud compliance frameworks (e.g., internal governance standards, ISO, SOC, or similar control-based models). \n
- Experience working in a regulated or highly controlled enterprise environment. \n
- Familiarity with AWS and OCI-native governance and security tools. \n
- Familiarity with AI Tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or Gemini. \n
- Basic scripting or automation skills using PowerShell, or Python. \n
- Understanding of cost management and resource hygiene within AWS environments. \n
