AL970 - CNC Shift LeadLocation: BathSalary: £57,000 Per AnnumOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a CNC Shift Lead on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.The successful candidate will lead shift operations within a CNC machine shop environment, ensuring production targets, safety standards, quality requirements, and continuous improvement objectives are achieved while maintaining a strong presence on the shop floor.Duties and Responsibilities:

- Lead shift operations to achieve production targets and daily performance goals. \n
- Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental standards. \n
- Manage Team Leaders and oversee labour allocation, performance, and training needs. \n
- Maintain a visible leadership presence and promote a positive team culture. \n
- Oversee daily machine shop activities, troubleshooting issues to maintain workflow. \n
- Ensure accurate job bookings, reporting, and operational records. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve OEE. \n
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve quality and reduce scrap. \n
- Coordinate maintenance and TPM activities to ensure machine reliability. \n
- Maintain housekeeping standards and support audit compliance. \n
Skills and Qualifications:

- Relevant experience in a CNC machine shop environment. \n
- Demonstrable ability to set and run the majority of machine tools within defined processes. \n
- Ability to lead through organising, coaching, mentoring, developing, and motivating team members. \n
- Open-minded, change-oriented, target-driven, methodical, supportive, and forward-thinking approach. \n
- Positive, proactive, and approachable leadership style. \n
- Strong communication skills at all levels of the business. \n
- Computer literate. \n
