New Product Development Manager

Are you an experienced engineering leader with a passion for New Product Development (NPD)? We're seeking an accomplished NPD Lead to drive the successful delivery of innovative products from concept through to launch while leading and developing a high-performing engineering team.

The Opportunity

As NPD Lead, you will oversee the full product development lifecycle, leading multiple engineering projects and ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex new product development projects from concept through validation and launch.

• Define project objectives, strategies, timelines, and resource requirements aligned to business goals.

• Manage cross-functional project teams and ensure successful delivery against key milestones.
\n
• Build, mentor, and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
\n
• Support recruitment activities and contribute to team growth.
\n
• Manage project budgets, ensuring effective financial control and accurate reporting.
\n
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment and manage expectations.
\n
• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
\n
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the product development process.
\n
• Drive adoption of engineering and project management best practices.
\n
• Monitor project performance and communicate progress to senior leadership.
\n
• Contribute to broader engineering strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We're looking for a technically strong engineering professional with proven leadership experience in a product development environment.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Significant experience within New Product Development (NPD).
\n
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex development projects.
\n
• Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
\n
• Experience managing budgets, resources, and project timelines.
\n
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
\n
• Ability to lead technical problem-solving and decision-making.
\n
• Strong understanding of risk management and project governance.
\n
• Experience across the full product development lifecycle, including prototyping and testing.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrable project management experience.
\n
• Advanced CAD skills, such as:\n

  • Or similar design platforms
