Female Support Worker

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Female Support Worker within our Salford Learning Disabilities Services to provide person centered support to people with learning disabilities, physical needs and support needs, living in a supported living setting.You must have a good understanding of learning disabilities and person centered practice, as well as a commitment to developing the service and the staff team.Enable service users to gain independence, confidence and competence in following areas:Social skills/relationshipsPersonal care & hygieneDaily living skillsManaging moneyUsing community resources and facilitiesSocial, leisure and work activitiesSelf-organisation and coping abilitiesPersonal safetyGender is considered to be an occupational requirement - Equality Act 2010Vacancy Reference Number: 93357Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
