\nThe Opportunity
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Machinist / Miller / Programmer to join a highly specialised manufacturing business supporting the motorsport and high-performance engineering sectors.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the machining of complex, high-value carbon fibre components, working with advanced 5-axis milling machinery in a dual running and programming capacity. This position offers the opportunity to work on precision-engineered components where accuracy, attention to detail and technical capability are critical.
\nWorking closely with the manufacturing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC milling machines while supporting the continued development of manufacturing processes and new machine implementation projects.
\nThis role would suit an experienced CNC Miller with strong Heidenhain programming knowledge who is comfortable working both on and off the machine and has experience machining high-value, complex components.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nSet, operate and programme 5-axis CNC milling machines
\nManufacture complex carbon fibre components to tight tolerances and quality standards
\nCreate and modify CNC programmes using Heidenhain controls
\nSupport offline programming activities using VISI and Hypermill software where required
\nConduct machine set-ups, prove-outs and first-off inspections
\nMonitor machining operations to ensure quality, efficiency and consistency
\nInterpret engineering drawings, CAD models and technical specifications
\nWork with high-value components and materials where precision is critical
\nIdentify and implement process improvements to optimise machining performance
\nSupport the introduction and commissioning of new machinery and manufacturing technologies
\nMaintain accurate production records and adhere to quality procedures
\nCollaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve machining challenges
\nEnsure all work is completed in accordance with company quality and safety standards
\nWhat We Need From You
\nEssential:
\nProven experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Machinist or CNC Programmer
\nStrong experience setting and operating CNC milling machinery
\nExperience programming Heidenhain-controlled machines
\nExperience working with 5-axis machining centres
\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD data
\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality
\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of machining activities
\nExperience machining complex and high-value components
\nStrong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude
\nDesirable:
\nExperience with Hermle 5-axis machining centres
\nExperience with Zimmermann milling machines
\nExperience using VISI and/or Hypermill offline programming software
\nExperience machining carbon fibre components
\nMotorsport, aerospace, automotive or high-performance engineering background
\nExperience supporting new machine introduction and process development activities

\nStandard interview hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:30.
