\nWe are seeking a compassionate, organised, and customer-focused Housing Officer to join our clients team in Southend-on-Sea.
\nThe Role
\nAs a Property Inspection Officer, you will provide frontline support throughout the Southend area, carrying out regular site visits, health and safety checks, compliance monitoring, and administrative duties. You will work closely with Support Services teams to deliver an exceptional service to residents.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety compliance checks. \n
- Conduct inspections and compliance monitoring. \n
- Identify and report risks affecting elderly, disabled, or vulnerable residents. \n
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and incident logs. \n
- Undertake routine administration and statistical reporting. \n
- Report repairs and maintenance issues and liaise with contractors. \n
- Carry out testing, drills, and associated record keeping. \n
- Support the effective handling of customer enquiries and complaints. \n
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent tenant support. \n
- Promote safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality policies at all times. \n
- Ensure tenants' rights are respected and tenancy obligations upheld. \n
We are looking for someone who has:

- Excellent communication and organisational skills. \n
- Strong administration and record-keeping abilities. \n
- An understanding of health and safety responsibilities. \n
- The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload. \n
- A professional, empathetic, and customer-focused approach. \n
- Knowledge of safeguarding and working with vulnerable individuals would be advantageous. \n
