- Location: Cambridge with travel to other sites around Cambridgeshire \n
- Job Type: Full-time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year \n
Reed are working with an incredible company who are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead their leisure sites, ensuring the effective, efficient and safe management of their facilities. This role involves strategic oversight and operational management, focusing on maximising profit and sustainability while balancing budgets. The ideal candidate will provide leadership across various sports centres and support the development of new projects and commercial activities.
\nDay-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Oversee the financial management, ensuring effective budget use and strategic pricing. \n
- Lead the preparation of funding bids and oversee multi-centre fitness contracts. \n
- Develop and implement business and marketing plans in collaboration with Sports Centre Managers. \n
- Audit sports centres to maintain high standards in health and safety, customer care and compliance. \n
- Develop procedures to enhance customer experience from enquiry through to retention. \n
- Manage emergency cover requirements and act as a point of escalation for customer complaints. \n
- Collaborate with educational bodies to align sports centres with the educational needs of students. \n
- Implement and monitor a customer-focused booking system to ensure efficient income recording. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven leadership and management experience in a similar role, preferably within the leisure or sports industry. \n
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and commercial development. \n
- Ability to mentor and support managers, fostering a collaborative team environment. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively liaising with various stakeholders. \n
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, data protection laws and safeguarding procedures. \n
