Private Client Solicitor (2–4 PQE)

Reading | £55,000–£65,000 DOE + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you a Private Client Solicitor looking to join a highly regarded Legal 500 law firm with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding client service? Our client is seeking an ambitious solicitor with 2–4 years' PQE to join its growing Private Client team in Reading.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative and supportive department handling a broad range of high-quality private client matters for high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners. You'll work alongside experienced lawyers in a firm that is committed to career progression, professional development and long-term success.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload while working closely with senior members of the team on more complex matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of wills, probate and estate administration matters
\n
• Advising clients on estate planning and succession matters
\n
• Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
\n
• Advising on Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning
\n
• Trust creation and administration
\n
• Court of Protection matters
\n
• Advising elderly and vulnerable clients
\n
• Supporting with complex estate and trust matters where appropriate
\n

About You

\n
• Qualified Solicitor in England &Wales
\n
• 2–4 years' PQE specialising in Private Client law
\n
• Experience managing your own Private Client caseload
\n
• Strong technical knowledge across wills, probate and estate administration
\n
• Excellent client care and communication skills
\n
• STEP qualification, or a desire to work towards it, would be advantageous but is not essential
\n
