Pipefitter / Welder

Position: Pipefitter Welder Location: BristolRate: £33.00 - £38.00 per hour (CIS)

My client is a well-established mechanical engineering contractor specialising in the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial steam, process pipework and mechanical systems across a wide range of industrial sectors. They are looking to recruit an experienced Pipefitter Welder to join their team on a self-employed CIS basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both pipefitting and pipe welding, be confident working from engineering drawings, and have experience installing carbon steel and stainless-steel pipework within industrial environments.

• Installation and fabrication of carbon steel and stainless-steel pipework
\n
• Pipefitting duties including measuring, cutting, aligning and assembling pipe systems
\n
• TIG and MMA welding of process and steam pipework to a high standard
\n
• Installation of flanged, threaded and welded pipe systems
\n
• Working on steam systems, plant rooms, boiler houses and other industrial mechanical installations
\n
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and isometric drawings
\n
• Carrying out site installation, maintenance and shutdown works across customer sites
\n
• Working safely in accordance with site health & safety procedures
\n

• Previous experience as a Pipefitter Welder within industrial or mechanical engineering environments
\n
• Competent in both pipefitting and pipe welding
\n
• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless-steel pipework using TIG and MMA processes
\n
• Ability to read and work from engineering and isometric drawings
\n
• Experience with steam, process or mechanical services pipework is highly advantageous
\n
• Welding qualifications such as BS EN ISO 9606 or ASME IX would be beneficial
\n
• CSCS card and IPAF/PASMA advantageous but not essential
\n
• Full UK Driving Licence
\n
• Based within a commutable distance of Bristol
\n

• £33.00 - £38.00 per hour (CIS Self-Employed)
\n
• Monday to Friday - 50 hour week
\n
• Potential for the role to become permanent long term
\n
• Regular overtime available
\n
