Nursery Assistant Hours: Monday – Friday, Full-Time or Part-Time Available Location: Oxfordshire Start Date: ASAP / September Start Available UES1 About the Role A welcoming nursery in Oxfordshire is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in childcare and gain valuable experience within a supportive and nurturing environment. Working alongside experienced Early Years practitioners, you will help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating setting where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and develop through play. No formal childcare qualification is required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for working with young children. Key Responsibilities * Support children aged 0–5 years with their learning, care, and development * Assist with delivering engaging activities and play experiences * Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment * Support children's social, emotional, physical, and communication development * Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, and transitions * Observe children's progress and provide feedback to the nursery team * Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues * Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times What We’re Looking For Essential: * A genuine passion for working with young children * Previous experience working with children is desirable, whether in a nursery, school, care, or voluntary setting * Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years setting * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) * Right to Work in the UK Desirable: * Experience within a nursery or Early Years setting * Knowledge of the EYFS framework * Paediatric First Aid qualification * Interest in completing an Early Years or Childcare qualification What This Role Offers * ASAP and September start opportunities available * Full-time and part-time opportunities available * Supportive and friendly nursery team * Ongoing training and professional development opportunities * Long-term and permanent opportunities available * Opportunity to gain valuable Early Years experience and make a positive impact on children's learning and development
