Job Description: As an HGV Technician, you'll be instrumental in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and road-ready. Based in a well-run workshop, you'll deliver high-quality diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs using the latest equipment while working to DVSA and manufacturer standards. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on vehicles and trailers using the latest diagnostic tools. Service and maintain vehicles and trailers in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards. Complete all legal and compliance documentation accurately and within required timeframes. Follow best practice when carrying out repairs, component replacements, and final sign-off. Conduct Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) to DVSA standards. Work collaboratively within a professional workshop team to meet operational targets. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment. Comply with all relevant Health & Safety regulations and industry legislation at all times. Requirements: Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent, or demonstrable experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar vehicle maintenance role. Diagnostic qualifications and experience are desirable. A valid Class 1 licence is desirable; training and support can be provided to obtain this if required. Competent in the use of hand tools and power tools. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Why Join Gregory Distribution Ltd? Competitive Salary : £23.00 per hour, equating to £50,232 per annum, based on working 48 hours per week. Hours : 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs, based on 4on 4off rota. Overtime : Overtime paid at hourly rate x 1.5 = £34.50ph. PLUS: You will receive £10.00 per shift, when on standby rota basis. For each call out you will receive £20.00 call out charge.
