Acid Shop Operator

Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Team are working with a well-established precision engineering business supplying the medical and aerospace sectors to recruit an experienced Acid Shop Operator.

Job Title: Acid Shop Operator Salary: £14.43ph Job Type: Permanent

Monday – Thursday

\n
• Mornings: 6:00am – 2:00pm
\n
• Afternoons: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
\n

Early finish on Fridays

\n
• Morning: 6:00am – 12:00pm
\n
• Afternoon: 12:00pm – 6:00pm
\n

Main duties and responsibilities of the Acid Shop Operator

\n
• Operate acid processing lines and chemical treatment equipment safely, following standard operating procedures
\n
• Prepare, monitor and maintain acid baths and chemical solutions to ensure quality and process performance
\n
• Load, unload and inspect components throughout the production process, ensuring customer specifications are met
\n
• Monitor process parameters, complete production documentation accurately and report any faults or abnormalities
\n
• Carry out routine equipment checks, support maintenance activities and help drive continuous improvement initiatives
\n
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance, including COSHH, chemical handling and housekeeping requirement
\n

About You We are looking for Acid Shop Operators who have:

• Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions accurately
\n
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
\n
• Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
\n
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
\n
• Reliable, organised and able to manage workload effectively.
\n
• Previous experience working in an acid processing, metal finishing, chemical processing or manufacturing environment.
\n
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations and hazardous chemical handling
\n
• FLT Licence / experience
\n
• First Aider / Fire Marshall experience
\n
