We are looking for compassionate and skilled Support Worker to help our residents lead fulfilling lives and achieve their personal goals.

Southern Hill Hospital is preparing to open a new specialist Addiction Treatment Service for adults aged 18 and over, providing high-quality, person-centred support for individuals affected by substance misuse and co-occurring mental health needs.\n

Our new service is being developed to offer compassionate, evidence-based care within a safe and therapeutic environment where individuals can begin rebuilding stability, confidence, and independence.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities.
  • \n
  • Support residents in developing and maintaining their independence.
  • \n
  • Help residents with meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
  • \n
  • Provide emotional support and companionship.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • \n
  • Ensure a safe and clean-living environment for residents.
  • \n

What You’ll Need

    \n
  • Minimum of 1+ years’ experience as a support worker
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • \n
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
  • \n
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • \n
  • NVQ2 in Health and Social Care & First aid Trained
  • \n
