We are currently looking for a Civil Designer to join our fast-growing, family-led engineering firm in Riverdale, Utah. • Diverse Project Portfolio: You won't get bored. You will prepare CAD drawings for a wide array of projects, including drainage, transportation, traffic, land, and large-scale commercial and residential site developments.

• True Leadership Potential: This isn't just a drafting role. You will lead the preparation of detailed drawings, update our civil CAD standards, and actively mentor junior designers and drafters.

• Lead Design: Spearhead the preparation of detailed civil design drawings, including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, roadway design, and plan/profile sheets.
\n
• Advanced Modeling: Develop 3D surface models, alignments, corridors, grading plans, and earthwork calculations using Civil 3D.
\n
• Collaborate & Refine: Work closely with our civil engineers to interpret engineering reports, field data, and surveys to refine design concepts and resolve complex issues.
\n
• Ensure Quality: Maintain drawing accuracy through strict version control, redline updates, and quality checks. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal design codes.
\n
• Standardize & Mentor: Prepare and update civil CAD templates and best practices, while actively supporting and mentoring junior designers on the team.
\n
• Manage the Flow: Support project scheduling, workload planning, and task tracking to ensure we hit our legendary turnaround times.

• Experience: 10+ years of drafting experience OR an accredited CAD certification with senior-level project experience.
\n
• Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. You know the software inside and out.
\n
• Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead and design projects while successfully managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Technical Comprehension: Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering plans, specifications, surveys, and technical documents.
\n
• The Right Attitude: A proactive problem-solver with a positive, professional attitude who works efficiently both independently and collaboratively.
