Brief Description

\n

The Pipe Welder is responsible for performing a full range of journeyman-level structural & pipe welding procedures. Including pre-heat, electrode selection, welding processes and quality control specifications in accordance with ASME code.

Detailed Description

\n
    \n
  • Fabricate and modify piping systems and process equipment, and draft or redline drawings as needed.
  • \n
  • Field verification of piping & structural systems.
  • \n
  • Weld in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • \n
  • Maintain records of work orders and materials used.
  • \n
\n

Have knowledge of hand & power tools, as well as hydraulic, air & electric shop equipment.

\n
    \n
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • \n
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • \n
  • Use of Respiratory equipment. Local and portable exhaust ventilation systems (LEV), as well as Power Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR), along with half mask and full face respirators.

Minimum Education and Experience

\n

High School Diploma / GED

\n

Welding pipe in all positions

\n

Own hand tools

\n

\n

Certifications

\n

ASME IX GTAW & SMAW (tested at MSI Shop in Dundas, MN prior to starting)

\n

Carbon TIG & Carbon STICK (6010/7018) 6G

\n

Must hold valid driver license

\n

2 Forms of ID required

\n

\n
