About the Role

\n

As Operations Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination and successful delivery of complex offshore subsea cable installation and repair projects across the UK and North West Europe.

\n


\n

Working closely with vessel crews, offshore teams, subcontractors and clients, you will take ownership of project delivery, operational performance and technical governance, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

\n


\n

This is a senior leadership position offering the opportunity to influence operational strategy while remaining closely involved in technically challenging offshore engineering projects.

The key responsibilities for this Operations Manager role are:

\n

- Lead the delivery of offshore subsea cable installation and repair projects across the UK and North West Europe

\n

- Coordinate vessel operations, offshore personnel and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project delivery

\n

- Manage project programmes, operational performance and resource planning

\n

- Develop and maintain operational procedures, method statements and technical documentation

\n

- Build and manage long-term relationships with subcontractors and key supply chain partners

\n

- Provide technical input into tender submissions and installation methodologies

\n

- Act as the primary operational contact for clients throughout project delivery

\n

- Promote a strong Health, Safety and Environmental culture across all offshore activities

\n

- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, project delivery and commercial performance

\n

- Lead, mentor and develop offshore operational teams

\n

Experience required for this Operations Manager role are:

\n

- Degree qualified in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline

\n

- Minimum 10 years' experience delivering offshore construction, marine operations or subsea cable projects

\n

- Strong project management experience within subsea cable installation, offshore wind or marine infrastructure

\n

- Excellent understanding of offshore vessel operations and marine logistics

\n

- Strong commercial awareness and operational leadership experience

\n

- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors

\n

- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills

\n

- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and North West Europe

\n

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Operations Manager role are:

- Experience delivering offshore wind or renewable energy infrastructure projects

\n

- Knowledge of subsea cable repair and installation methodologies

\n

- Experience supporting technical tender submissions

- Offshore certification and marine safety qualifications

\n

- Experience managing multiple concurrent offshore projects
