AR901 – Resident Forklift EngineerLocation: LlanelliSalary: £36,800 - £41,400 + Van & OvertimeShift pattern: Weekly rotation between Monday–Friday (6:00am–2:30pm) and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday day shifts.Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to long/short term machines and customers owned equipment. Ensuring best practice with quality and professionalism are met at all times and to maintain customer satisfaction.Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel however, all candidates will be considered.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Servicing and repair of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
\n
• Carrying out routine maintenance.
\n
• Checking oil and fuel levels.
\n
• Checking all related hoses and connections.
\n
• Steering and brake checks.
\n
• Basic electrical checks – brake lights etc.
\n
• Liaising with customers regarding their individual requirements.
\n
• Submit accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
\n
• Acting as the face of the company and therefore acting as a brand ambassador.
\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n
• A good mechanical engineering background is essential.
\n
• Customer focused.
\n
• Ability to work as part of a team or on an individual basis where required.
\n
• Excellent time management skills
\n
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
\n
• Experience with forklift trucks, military, agricultural or plant equipment is highly desirable.
\n
• Full UK driving licence.
\n
