Senior Mechanical Project Engineer - Tier 1 MEP Contractor Location: Central London Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Package We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join a Tier 1 MEP Contractor delivering a major project in London. The Role As the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, you will coordinate the mechanical design, on-site installation, testing and commissioning activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Coordinate mechanical design, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Resolve technical issues to maintain programme and project progress. Manage procurement from enquiry through to delivery on site. Monitor site progress against the construction programme. Work closely with the design team, subcontractors, and supply chain to ensure successful project delivery. Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and maintain high Health & Safety standards. Lead supply chain coordination meetings to ensure progress and resource alignment. Support project close-out, commissioning, and handover activities. Produce project reports and provide updates to the Project Manager. Mentor and support Junior Engineers within the project team. About You Experience Strong technical background within Mechanical Building Services or Mechanical Engineering. Previous experience delivering mechanical packages on major construction projects. Experience working for a Tier 1 MEP Contractor is advantageous. Good commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery. Strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Qualifications Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
