Hire Controller

Hire Controller – 3-Month Contract Location: Uxbridge, London Contract: Initial three-month contract PlantLink Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Hire Controller on behalf of a well-established UK Utilities business. You will join a busy fleet operation, coordinating the hire and movement of equipment across multiple sites. This position would suit an organised Hire Controller who communicates confidently and can keep things moving in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate plant and equipment hire requests from internal teams and sites * Arrange deliveries, collections, exchanges and off-hires * Check equipment availability and source suitable alternatives when required * Maintain accurate hire records, orders and system information * Liaise with site teams, suppliers, transport providers and engineers * Monitor equipment movements and resolve delays or availability issues * Respond quickly to breakdowns, changes and urgent requests What We’re Looking For * Previous experience as a Hire Controller, Plant Coordinator or in a similar role * Experience within plant hire, construction, utilities or infrastructure would be beneficial * Strong organisation and communication skills * Confident working with computer systems and maintaining accurate records * Able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment * A reliable and proactive approach to work This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected UK business and make an immediate contribution during a busy period.
