Senior Asset Manager / Associate Director – Retail Real Estate (Continental Europe)

Madison Berkeley is excited to be working exclusively with an established real estate investment manager who is seeking an experienced Senior Asset Manager / Associate Director to oversee a portfolio of retail assets across Continental Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced asset management professional looking to take ownership of a high-quality portfolio, drive value creation initiatives, and work closely with senior stakeholders across acquisitions, asset strategy, and portfolio performance. You will be based in the London office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day asset management of a European retail property portfolio.
\n
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to maximise asset performance and long-term value.
\n
• Drive leasing initiatives, tenant engagement, and value-enhancing asset management strategies.
\n
• Oversee financial performance, budgets, capital expenditure, forecasting, and business planning.
\n
• Manage relationships with property managers, legal advisers, technical consultants, lenders, and occupiers.
\n
• Support acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, valuations, and portfolio integration projects.
\n
• Prepare investment papers and reporting for senior management and investors.
\n
• Identify and execute opportunities to optimise operational and financial performance across the portfolio.

About You

\n
• Significant experience in commercial real estate asset management, ideally within retail or mixed-use assets.
\n
• Fluent French is essential; Spanish would be advantageous.
\n
• Strong financial, commercial, and analytical skills with experience managing complex real estate investments.
\n
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
\n
• Willingness to travel regularly across Continental Europe.
\n
• Self-motivated, commercially minded, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic investment environment.
