From 2 depots they offer a range of services including UK wide transport / haulage services, DVSA test facilities & Repair & Maintenance services.Distribution services include General Haulage across the UK , High-Cube Curtain-Sider Trailer Transport ,24/7 Operational Coverage?, Planning teams supporting out-of-hours operations, Contract Transport & Dedicated Coverage & Full Load DistributionNote all applications are being sent directly to the client to speed up the application process.Summary:The purpose of the role is to safely transport customer goods from collection to delivery sites, spending nights out in a dedicated HGV vehicle through the course of your shift pattern. Ensuring compliance and health and safety is conducted at all times. Requiring a professional and safety conscious attitude.Ensure safe and efficient loading of your vehicle, carry out all necessary safety checks using an app and ensure customer paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the office.Experience & knowledge needed:Curtain sided trailer experienceIn-date CPC2 years+ (preferred) of HGV driving experienceFull UK C+E (Class 1) licenceGood understanding of UK Road Network and Health & Safety proceduresUnderstand and comply to tachograph and driving hour regulationsKnowledge of drivers hours, tachograph and WTD legislationUnderstanding of load securityUK road law knowledge / highway codeClean licence preferred, no serious endorsementsPrioritise and plan workloads in line with company KPI'sOperate vehicles ensuring optimisation of revenueAbility to adapt in a changing environmentWorking conditionsDriving based role, allocated own unit, vehicle must be kept clean and tidy.Physical requirementsOpening of curtains on trailer, ability to climb on and off a trailer (no manual handling)Key Performance IndicatorsCustomer ServiceThis is a fantastic opportunity we look forward to your application.Strive Supply Chain Limited [& associated businesses] acts as an employment agency on behalf of external employers for the provision of permanent staff.
