\nLondon | Office-based (Monday - Friday)
\n£50,000–£55,000 + up to £10,000 performance bonus
\nWe’re hiring a Customer Manager for our client, a profitable and growing property business transforming buildings into affordable, community-led homes.
\nThey currently manages more than 1,000 tenants across 150 properties, and this role will sit at the heart of the customer operation—leading the team, improving performance and ensuring a consistently high-quality experience from first enquiry through to move-out.
\nThis is not a traditional lettings role.
\nThey're looking beyond transactional property backgrounds for someone who understands how to lead customer-facing teams, manage a commercial pipeline and build smarter, more scalable processes.
\nThe opportunity
\nYou’ll be responsible for:

- Leading, coaching and holding a customer-facing team accountable \n
- Driving occupancy and maintaining a strong pipeline of applicants \n
- Monitoring viewings, conversion rates and hard-to-fill spaces \n
- Owning customer onboarding, offboarding and communications \n
- Using KPIs, reporting and customer feedback to improve performance \n
- Improving CRM workflows and operational processes \n
- Acting as the escalation point for complex or sensitive customer situations \n
- Building positive, well-managed communities across the portfolio \n
Success will be measured through occupancy, response times, customer satisfaction, team performance and the quality of the overall customer journey.
\nWhat we’re looking for
\nYou’ll ideally bring:
\n- \n
- Direct experience managing and coaching a customer-facing team \n
- Strong commercial and pipeline-management capability \n
- A data-led approach to KPIs, conversion and performance \n
- Hands-on experience using CRM systems; HubSpot would be advantageous \n
- Experience improving workflows and operational processes \n
- Confidence handling escalations and difficult conversations \n
- A calm, practical and solutions-focused leadership style \n
- Experience within a high-volume customer environment \n
Property experience is useful, but it is not essential. Strong candidates could come from hospitality, co-living, build-to-rent, flexible workspace, membership businesses, customer operations or other service-led environments.
