Callaghan Groundworks & Civil Engineering Ltd is a growing and well-established groundwork and civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the South East. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Groundworks Foreman to join our team for an immediate start on a site in Higham, Kent.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of site operations, managing groundworks teams, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience as a Groundworks Foreman.
\n
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of groundworks and civil engineering, including drainage, foundations, concrete works, external works and infrastructure.
\n
• The ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
\n
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
\n
• Experience organising labour, plant and materials.
\n
• A good understanding of health & safety requirements on site.
\n
• Be confident liaising with the office, site management and clients.
\n
• Be computer literate and able to complete site paperwork, progress reports and communicate electronically.
\n
• Relevant CSCS card (SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid are desirable).
\n
