In this role, youll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes, supporting day-to-day operations, and contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment. Youll thrive on variety, take ownership of your work, and bring energy and ideas to the team.You will ensure the implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and improvements across the Midlands Region, and provide solutions to reduce costs and improve plant efficiencies.Key responsibilities of a Regional Engineer:Ownership of specific jobs/projects through to successful completionPerform fault diagnosis leading to resolution of random failures on production machinery, identifying root cause in repair processCarrying out planned maintenance tasks as part of a preventative maintenance strategyComplete risk assessments/method statements to ensure safe running of all factory equipment and processesIdentify and report all stock /spares issuesLiaise with production on plant outages to ensure minimum downtime of production equipmentPrioritise own work load with consideration to output, product quality and line efficiencyProactive approach to identify improvements to increase line and machinery efficienciesComplete all line checks and documentation as requiredTo assist in the training and development of new startersTo act as a role model for best practiceMonitor, control and minimise wastePlay an active part in continuous improvementTo participate in the companys PDP programTo act as specialist for machinery knowledgeDrive own personal development through training and work based experienceManage the output of assigned production and effectively deal with issues as and when they arise.Qualifications Experience of working in a food factory environment would be advantageousFully complete apprenticeship is desirable, with packing experienceBasic computer literacy.Able to communicate and motivate others is an essential part of the role. Understanding of internal systems and processes, with the ability to work within these parameters. An understanding of health and safety requirements is essential.Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive disposition, and a clear focus on meeting deadlines. Must be flexible in approach to work and undertake overtime during busy periods when requiredManagement Ability -The post holder must be able to work under pressure both as part of a team and on own initiative. Must also be able to communicate effectively to ensure the smooth running of the department.
