Atomic is delighted to be partnering with a well-established 6-partner accountancy firm in Central London to recruit an Accounts Senior.

The firm has built an excellent reputation and works with a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors including leisure and entertainment, manufacturing, agriculture, and financial services, offering plenty of variety and exposure.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a compliance-focused role, with the majority of your time dedicated to accounts preparation and tax returns, while managing a varied portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • \n

    Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and LLPs in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 105.

  • \n
  • \n

    Produce year-end financial statements from client records and trial balances.

  • \n
  • \n

    Prepare corporation tax returns (CT600) and supporting tax computations.

  • \n
  • \n

    Prepare personal tax returns (Self Assessment) where required.

  • \n
  • \n

    Review bookkeeping records and reconcile key balance sheet accounts.

  • \n
  • \n

    Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.

  • \n
  • \n

    Produce management accounts and other financial reports for clients.

  • \n
  • \n

    Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain outstanding information.

  • \n
  • \n

    Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance, feedback, and support.

  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • \n

    ACA or ACCA qualified.

  • \n
  • \n

    Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.

  • \n
  • \n

    Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and corporate tax returns.

  • \n
  • \n

    Working knowledge of personal tax and VAT.

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience using cloud accounting and accounts production software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS, CCH, TaxCalc, or Digita.

  • \n

    Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

  • \n
  • \n

    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
