Client Service Executive

Absolute Recruit
Saint Albans, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

Are you someone who enjoys working with customers, solving problems and building strong relationships?Perhaps you have experience in customer service, account management, administration or client support and are now looking for a role where you can develop your career rather than simply move into another similar position. We’re working with a successful, small family-run business based near St Albans to recruit a Client Services Executive to join their growing team. This is a particularly good opportunity for someone who has the right attitude, communication skills and attention to detail but doesn’t necessarily have experience within the company’s specialist industry.Full training will be provided, with the intention for the role to develop significantly over the next 1-3 years as you build your knowledge of the business, its clients and its products. You’ll become an important point of contact for the company’s clients, helping them get the best possible service and support.Your responsibilities will include:\n
    \n
  • Managing customer queries by phone and email from initial enquiry through to resolution
  • \n
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
  • \n
  • Providing proactive support and regularly communicating with customers
  • \n
  • Helping coordinate and deliver online and face-to-face client training
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate client records, support information and documentation
  • \n
  • Working closely with colleagues to resolve queries and improve the customer experience
  • \n
  • Assisting with the development of training materials and user documentation
  • \n
  • Supporting testing and development of the company’s systems and products
  • \n
  • Producing basic reports and management information
  • \n
  • Identifying ways processes and customer support can be improved
  • \n
As your knowledge develops, you’ll have the opportunity to take greater ownership of client relationships, training, product support and other areas of the business. The original role also includes exposure to system testing, end-user documentation and training programme development, giving it considerably more progression than a traditional customer service position. Most importantly, you’ll be:\n
    \n
  • Confident communicating with customers over the phone and by email
  • \n
  • Organised with strong administration skills
  • \n
  • Comfortable learning new systems and technology
  • \n
  • Able to manage several tasks and customer queries at once
  • \n
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership of problems
  • \n
  • Friendly, professional and able to build relationships with different personalities
  • \n
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • \n
  • Keen to learn and develop your career within a business long term
  • \n
Why join? This isn’t a large corporate environment where you’ll become one of hundreds of employees. You’ll be joining a small, established family-run business with an excellent culture, working closely with experienced colleagues who will invest time in your development. The business is specifically looking for someone they can train and develop over the next few years, meaning there is genuine scope for your responsibilities and career to grow as your experience develops.
