Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We're looking for a talented and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team.Join our established team in the Southampton office, where you'll be instrumental in designing Building Engineering Services for a diverse range of projects, from small to large-scale, across various construction sectors.Experience in Healthcare, Education, and Commercial facilities is preferred, as is a strong understanding of renewable technologies. Your expertise should help us deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.Your new role

• Practical knowledge of Electrical Engineering Services and Construction;
\n
• Production of complete tender packages;
\n
• Overseeing and managing projects;
\n
• Input into fee preparation and agreement of fee variations;
\n
• Preparation of philosophy reports;
\n
• Developing room data requirements;
\n
• Constructing budget cost reports;
\n
• Developing load analysis, plant and zoning strategies and Builders Work requirements;
\n
• Good working knowledge of all primary design standards for relevant discipline;
\n
• Planning resources to meet programme dates and taking responsibility for delivery of information;
\n
• Practical knowledge of a relevant discipline; ability to investigate problems and fault finding fault;
\n
• Working knowledge of some specialist systems within a relevant discipline.
\n

What you'll need to succeed

\n
• An experienced Building Services Design Engineer with a Building Services Design qualification to HND/Degree level;
\n
• Appropriate length of experience of designing Engineering Systems in all Construction sectors;
\n
• Membership of a professional organisation such as CIBSE;
\n
• Effective interpersonal skills within the office and with all Clients and professional Colleagues;
\n
• Computer literate and competent with industry standard software systems;
\n
• Be a self-starter and be able to work intuitively;
\n
• Confident with budget costing, design programming and prioritising workload.
