Senior Accountant

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join an exciting Construction company experiencing huge growth based in Gloucester. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:£50,000 - £60,000 plus up to 8% bonus and 3 remote working days per weekRole responsibilities will include but not limited to:Establish monthly, quarterly and annual closings for the UK, including supporting VAT returns, CIS submissions and annual accounts preparationProcess multi-currency accounting entries and perform intercompany reconciliationsPrepare income statement and balance sheet, process IFRS journals and adjustmentsPerform bank reconciliations and resolve queriesSupport external audit preparation and coordinate with auditors on UK-specific mattersOrganise regular training and follow-up sessions with the accounting team on ERP usageEnsure correct coding, use of automation features, and compliance with group ERP standardsIdentify and communicate ERP system improvements, issues and accounting process enhancements to the teamBuild on existing processes and implement improvements in line with group policiesSupport the Financial Controller with ad-hoc analyses, budget preparation and cost reportingPerson specification:ACA OR ACCA qualifiedCurrently working within audit or a financial accounting role with IFRS exposureIn-depth knowledge of consolidation and reporting toolsIntermediate level Excel with a good knowledge of ERP systems£50,000 - £60,000 plus up to 8% bonus and 3 remote working days per weekRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
