\nWe are working with a well-established facilities management organisation to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team at a prestigious London site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of mechanical building services and ensuring the smooth operation of critical infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, supporting site operations, coordinating specialist contractors and helping to drive continuous improvements across the estate.

\nWhat You'll Be Doing

- Delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of mechanical building services. \n
- Monitoring the performance of plant and equipment, identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency. \n
- Coordinating and supervising contractors to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard. \n
- Investigating mechanical faults and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime. \n
- Supporting the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to reduce disruption to building occupants. \n
- Carrying out routine inspections to ensure assets remain compliant and fully operational. \n
- Maintaining accurate service records, maintenance logs and compliance documentation. \n
- Working closely with facilities teams and client stakeholders to provide technical support and engineering expertise. \n
- Assisting with small works, upgrades and improvement projects across the site. \n
- Ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with company procedures and health & safety legislation. \n
- Contributing to a positive team culture by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where required. \n
What We're Looking For
\n- \n
- Previous experience maintaining mechanical building services within a commercial or facilities management environment. \n
- A recognised mechanical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, apprenticeship or equivalent. \n
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, pipework and associated mechanical plant. \n
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across a variety of building systems. \n
- Confidence working alongside contractors, suppliers and internal engineering teams. \n
- A solid understanding of planned preventative maintenance principles. \n
- Good working knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe working practices. \n
