We're recruiting for an enthusiastic and hands-on Assistant Store Manager to join a thriving independent retail destination. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful retail environment where customer experience is at the heart of everything you do. Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of a large retail space, leading by example, supporting the team and ensuring every customer receives outstanding service.You'll be responsible for:\n

• Supporting the Store Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the store.
\n
• Leading, motivating and developing the retail team.
\n
• Delivering exceptional customer service and confidently resolving customer queries.
\n
• Opening and closing the store, including cash handling and till procedures.
\n
• Maintaining high visual merchandising and presentation standards.
\n
• Supporting stock replenishment and ensuring products are accurately displayed and priced.
\n
• Assisting with staff training, rotas and operational planning.
\n
• Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained across the store.
\n

We're looking for someone who:\n

\n
• Has at least 2-3 years' experience in a retail supervisor or Assistant Manager role.
\n
• Loves delivering outstanding customer service.
\n
• Is confident leading a team and supporting colleagues.
\n
• Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Enjoys being on the shop floor and leading by example.
\n
• Is physically fit and happy to spend the day on their feet in a large retail environment, with regular trips to the downstairs stockroom.
\n
• Thrives in a busy environment and can confidently deal with a wide range of customers, always remaining professional and courteous.
\n
