QED Legal's client is looking to appoint a Corporate Solicitor to join its growing Commercial team in York. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced commercial lawyers while taking ownership of high-quality transactions for a broad client base of owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and established regional companies. Rather than being confined to one niche, you'll advise across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, giving you the variety and responsibility needed to continue developing as a trusted adviser. Your work will include:\n

  • Mergers and acquisitions.
  • \n
  • Share and asset sales and purchases.
  • \n
  • Management buyouts.
  • \n
  • Corporate finance transactions.
  • \n
  • Shareholder and partnership agreements.
  • \n
  • Joint ventures.
  • \n
  • Agency, distribution and franchise agreements.
  • \n
  • Company formations and restructures.
  • \n
  • Commercial contracts and terms of business.
  • \n
  • Advising clients on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters.
  • \n
To be considered, you'll ideally have:\n
    \n
  • Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years PQE in Corporate, Corporate & Commercial or Company Commercial law.
  • \n
  • Experience handling corporate transactions with increasing levels of autonomy.
  • \n
  • Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills.
  • \n
  • Commercial awareness and the confidence to advise business owners directly.
  • \n
  • An interest in developing long-term client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser.
  • \n
  • Exposure to Commercial Property, Employment or Intellectual Property matters would be advantageous but isn't essential.
  • \n
