Private PA/Butler & Wardrobe Manager. City of London/Hybrid
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised, discreet and hands-on Butler / Personal Assistant / Wardrobe Manager to support the Client and the Client’s partner and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of their London City residence near Canary Wharf.
\nThe role combines personal assistance, household organisation, wardrobe management, lifestyle support, property oversight, pet care (2 cats) and cars management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Housekeeper and the Client’s Executive Assistant.
\nThis is primarily a Butler/PA/Wardrobe Manager role; however, the individual will also be expected to cover essential housekeeping duties when the Housekeeper is absent.
\nThe role is hybrid, with work split between the London property and remote working. The successful candidate may also work from the City Office, which is a 10-minute drive from the residence.
\nWorking hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00, with flexibility to work weekends / additional hours as required. Candidate should be reachable on slack/phone outside of normal working hours.
\nOccasional travel might be required.
\nResponsibilities
\nPersonal Assistance and Lifestyle Support
\n- \n
- Support the Client and the Client’s partner with day-to-day personal requests and ad hoc tasks. \n
- Arrange personal appointments, including haircuts, dental appointments, medical scans, padel sessions and other lifestyle bookings. \n
- Coordinate ALL appointments with the Executive Assistant, who retains overall ownership of the Client’s diary. \n
- Manage mail, parcels, personal correspondence, household deliveries and personal deliveries at the London property. \n
- Pack and unpack luggage, ensuring clothing, toiletries and other travel essentials are prepared. \n
- Maintain an accurate expense tracker for household and personal purchases. \n
- Retain and organise receipts, invoices and proof of purchase. \n
- Monitor household spending against agreed budgets where applicable. \n
Household Organisation and Stock Management

- Establish and maintain systems and checklists to ensure the residence runs smoothly. \n
- Monitor and replenish toiletries, personal-care products, household and cleaning supplies, food, snacks, berries, bottled water and other household essentials. \n
- Work closely with the Housekeeper to avoid duplication. \n
- Maintain an organised inventory of products and preferred brands. \n
- Ensure purchases and deliveries are stored correctly and promptly. \n
- Check that appliances, equipment and household systems are functioning correctly. \n
- Report damage, faults and maintenance issues promptly. \n
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and service providers to arrange repairs and maintenance. \n
- Follow up on outstanding works and ensure completion to the required standard. \n
- Support the planned property renovation, expected to begin around October or November 2026. \n
- Monitor renovation progress and coordinate access for contractors and suppliers. \n
Wardrobe Management

- Maintain and organise the Client’s wardrobe, drawers and storage areas. \n
- Ensure clothing is clean, pressed, repaired and ready to wear. \n
- Arrange dry cleaning, laundry in coordination with the Housekeeper, tailoring, shoe care and repairs. \n
- Monitor frequently used clothing and personal items, including underwear, socks, basic garments and accessories. \n
- Purchase or replace wardrobe essentials in line with the Client’s preferences. \n
- Assist with clothing purchases, returns, exchanges and alterations. \n
- Prepare clothing and outfits for travel, events and day-to-day requirements. \n
Pet Care
\n- \n
- Assist with the care of the Client’s two cats. \n
- Arrange veterinary appointments, grooming and other pet-related services. \n
- Coordinate pet-related paperwork, medication and travel arrangements where required. \n
Cars Management
\n- \n
- Oversee the ongoing care and administration of the Client’s vehicles. \n
- Arrange cleaning and detailing upon request. \n
- Coordinate servicing, maintenance, MOTs and repairs. \n
- Manage road tax, insurance renewals, parking matters and payment of PCNs. \n
- Maintain organised vehicle documents, invoices and service records. \n
- Coordinate one-off projects and purchases, including immobiliser installation, tracker installation or activation, phone holders, vehicle accessories, inspections and specialist maintenance. \n
- Liaise with dealerships, garages, insurers and automotive service providers. \n
Housekeeping Cover
\nWhen the Housekeeper is away, the Butler/PA/Wardrobe Manager will cover essential daily housekeeping duties, including:

- Cleaning, tidying and organising bedrooms. \n
- Cleaning bathrooms and replenishing toiletries and towels. \n
- Cleaning living rooms, reception rooms and communal areas. \n
- Cleaning and organising the kitchen, including surfaces, appliances and dishes. \n
- Completing household laundry and returning clean clothing to wardrobes and drawers. \n
- Keeping wardrobes and clothing-storage areas organised. \n
- Feeding the cats, refreshing their water and cleaning their litter trays. \n
- Removing rubbish and recycling. \n
- Replenishing household supplies. \n
- Maintaining the residence to a high standard until the Housekeeper returns. \n
Key Skills
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a private household, luxury hospitality, butler, personal assistant, wardrobe management or a similar role. \n
- At least 2 independent references \n
- Highly organised, proactive and able to establish effective household systems. \n
- Comfortable managing a varied workload and completing both administrative and practical tasks. \n
- Strong attention to detail and consistently high standards. \n
- Discreet, trustworthy and respectful of confidentiality. \n
- Flexible and willing to assist outside the core scope of the role when reasonably required. \n
- Confident dealing with contractors, suppliers and luxury service providers. \n
- Willing and able to undertake housekeeping duties during periods of Housekeeper absence. \n
- Strong written and spoken English. \n
- A full UK driving licence. \n
