Industrial Engineer (Days)
\nLocation: Evesham
\nSalary: £50,000 - £58,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off 06:00 - 18:00
\n We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment . Reporting to the Industrial Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in supporting daily engineering operations, ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across site assets. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical and electrical experience who thrives in a manufacturing setting and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities of this Industrial Engineer role:

- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities to ensure departmental KPIs are achieved. \n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across production and site services equipment. \n
- Respond to equipment breakdowns efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. \n
- Provide clear communication regarding breakdowns, repairs, and ongoing maintenance activities through verbal updates, emails, and engineering shift reports. \n
- Identify and implement improvements to existing maintenance plans and preventative maintenance schedules. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, reliability, and productivity. \n
- Work closely with Production, Engineering Administration, and Stores teams to ensure effective collaboration. \n
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with company procedures, legislative requirements, and safe working practices. \n
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, permits, and repairs. \n
- Conduct thorough shift handovers, ensuring all engineering activities and site issues are clearly communicated. \n
Skills & Experience needed for this Industrial Engineer role:
\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:
\n- \n
- Minimum 3-5 years' engineering experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment. \n
- Strong experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance and installation. \n
- Experience working with some or all of the following:
\n- \n
- Ammonia compressors \n
- Refrigeration systems \n
- Glycol plant chillers \n
- Cooling towers \n
- Air compressors \n
- Pumps and motors \n
- Industrial boilers \n
\n - Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement practices. \n
- Familiarity with maintenance databases, permit-to-work systems, work orders, and stores procedures. \n
- Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills. \n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. \n
- Basic welding skills would be advantageous. \n
Qualifications
\nEssential:
\n- \n
- Formal engineering qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline). \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- HACCP Level 3 \n
- Food Safety Level 3 \n
