The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of our partner schools in Birmingham for an experienced and professional School Administrator.

\n

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a busy school environment and is committed to providing excellent administrative support to staff, pupils and parents.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • \n

    Providing administrative support to the school office and senior leadership team.

  • \n
  • \n

    Managing the reception area and acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents and staff.

  • \n
  • \n

    Answering telephone calls and responding to emails professionally.

  • \n
  • \n

    Maintaining accurate pupil records and updating school databases.

  • \n
  • \n

    Processing attendance and admissions information.

  • \n
  • \n

    Supporting with correspondence, filing, photocopying and general office administration.

  • \n
  • \n

    Assisting with school events and other administrative duties as required.

  • \n
The Ideal Candidate\n
    \n
  • \n

    Previous experience working within a school office is highly desirable.

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience using school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or similar is advantageous.

  • \n
  • \n

    Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • \n
  • \n

    Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • \n
  • \n

    Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

  • \n
  • \n

    Friendly, professional and able to manage a busy workload.

  • \n
Essential Compliance Requirements\n

As this role is within a school, successful applicants must be able to:

  • \n

    Provide a full employment history covering the last 24 months.

  • \n
  • \n

    Provide a minimum of two employment references (three if you have not previously worked with children).

  • \n
  • \n

    Complete an Employment History Form covering every month from leaving full-time education.

  • \n
  • \n

    Provide character references where required to cover any gaps in employment.

  • \n
  • \n

    Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.

  • \n
  • \n

    Provide proof of right to work in the UK.

  • \n
  • \n

    Provide two proofs of address, proof of National Insurance and any relevant name change documentation.

  • \n
  • \n

    Complete our free mandatory safeguarding and compliance training.
