\nLocation: Bilston, Wolverhampton
\nSalary: c£50,000 + Company Car/Car Allowance
\nHours: Full Time, Monday to Friday (Flexibility Required)
\nAbout the Role
\nWe're looking for an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Manager to lead our health, safety and environmental strategy across our manufacturing facility and customer sites. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with employees, managers and contractors to drive compliance, continuous improvement and a positive safety culture.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nYou'll be responsible for:
\n- \n
- Ensuring compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH, PUWER, RIDDOR and associated regulations. \n
- Developing, implementing and continuously improving Health & Safety policies, procedures and emergency plans. \n
- Conducting risk assessments, audits and site inspections, ensuring hazards are identified and addressed. \n
- Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations, implementing preventative actions. \n
- Delivering Health & Safety inductions, toolbox talks and training. \n
- Monitoring and reporting Health & Safety performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. \n
- Managing contractor, visitor and environmental compliance, including waste management, hazardous substances and fire safety. \n
- Championing a proactive safety culture and supporting ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. \n
- Driving the transition to digital Health & Safety systems and supporting the business's Zero Accident strategy and wellbeing initiatives. \n
About You
\nYou'll have:
\n- \n
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). \n
- IOSH Membership (GradIOSH or CMIOSH preferred). \n
- Previous Health & Safety leadership experience within manufacturing or another high-risk environment. \n
- Excellent knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH, PUWER and RIDDOR. \n
- Experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems. \n
- Strong communication, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at every level. \n
- A practical, hands-on approach with excellent analytical and reporting skills. \n
