Fabricator / WelderLocation: Saxmundham, East Suffolk (own transport required)Salary: Up to £37,570 PA (Depending on Experience)Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per weekWorking hours options: 07:30-16:30We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run engineering business specialising in high-quality fabrication, bespoke metalwork, and engineered solutions for the agricultural sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a skilled Fabricator / Welder to their team.Role Summary:This is a hands-on workshop role where you'll be involved in the full fabrication process; from reading technical drawings through to welding and final assembly. You'll work on a range of bespoke and batch projects, producing high-quality work to tight specifications.Key Responsibilities:Fabricate, cut, shape, and assemble metal componentsCarry out MIG welding (2-10mm) and TIG welding (from 1.2mm stainless steel)Read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsMechanical fitting and assembly of fabricated componentsInspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracyOperate workshop machinery and tools safelyMaintain high standards of health & safety and workshop housekeepingAbout You (Essential):Proven experience in fabrication and weldingStrong MIG welding experience (TIG advantageous)Ability to read and work from technical drawingsGood mechanical fitting skillsHigh attention to detail and quality standardsStrong understanding of health & safetyAble to work independently and as part of a teamOwn transport due to locationDesirable:Experience within the agricultural or similar industryTIG welding on stainless steel down to approx. 1.2mmWelding/fabrication qualifications (e.g., NVQ or equivalent)Why Apply?Opportunity to join a stable, growing businessVaried and interesting fabrication work (bespoke and batch)Supportive, team-oriented environmentHRGO Recruitment offers permanent and temporary jobs across the UK.
