Mobile Role | Central Scotland (Glasgow to Edinburgh Region)
\nA leading engineering business is looking to recruit an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join its expanding service team. This is a mobile role covering Central Scotland, with the majority of customer sites located across the Glasgow and Edinburgh corridor.
\nWorking across a diverse range of industrial environments, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing industrial refrigeration and chiller systems for a varied customer base.

\nThe Role\n
\n
The Industrial Refrigeration Engineer will be responsible for delivering planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and breakdown support on a variety of refrigeration systems.
\n\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n
Maintenance & Servicing
\n- \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing. \n
- Conduct leak testing and system inspections. \n
- Monitor compressor performance and efficiency. \n
- Replace worn or faulty components to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance. \n
Fault Finding & Repairs
\n- \n
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related faults. \n
- Respond effectively to emergency breakdown situations. \n
- Ensure systems are restored safely and efficiently. \n
Compliance & Safety
\n- \n
- Work in line with all health and safety legislation and company procedures. \n
- Safely handle hazardous refrigerants, including toxic and flammable gases. \n
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and emissions standards. \n
\nCandidate Requirements\n
\n
The ideal candidate will have:
\n- \n
- F-Gas Category 1 (2079) certification. \n
- Ammonia handling qualification and experience. \n
- A completed refrigeration apprenticeship. \n
- A recognised qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR). \n
- Proven experience working with HFC, ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems. \n
- Strong working knowledge of DX, pumped, flooded and multistage refrigeration systems. \n
- Experience working with equipment from manufacturers such as Sabroe, Frick, York, Bitzer and Howden. \n
- A full UK driving licence. \n
