Job Description
East Renfrewshire Council’s Community Learning and Development service is data-driven, people-centred and outcome focused.
\nIn order to deliver improved outcomes for young people and close the attainment gap we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic Community Worker.
\nYou will be professionally qualified in Community Learning and Development and have a proven track record of working with young people in a wide range of settings.
\nThis post will require both evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the project.
\nThe successful candidate will be skilled at evidencing the impact participation in CLD programmes has on the young people we work with.
\nOn completion of additional years of service by 1 January of each year, following the anniversary of the date of appointment, your term time salary will be adjusted to include a payment in lieu of the additional leave day accrued at the beginning of each leave year for the first 10 years of service.
\nThis post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
