Finance Ops Director

A well-established, high-performing business is hiring a Finance Ops Director to lead the operational engine of its finance function. This is a broad, senior role owning how finance runs day to day, from core controls and reporting through to forecasting and cash, with genuine scope to modernise the function and the technology behind it.

You will combine hands-on finance-operations expertise with team leadership, acting as a senior point of escalation and partnering closely with stakeholders across finance and the wider business. It suits someone commercial and rigorous who enjoys both improving how a finance function works and leading the people who run it.

What you will do:

• Lead a finance-operations team, owning service quality and consistent delivery.

• Own core financial controls, forecasting, reporting and cash processes.
\n
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex or non-standard matters.
\n
• Partner with finance and business leaders on commercial and operational decisions.
\n
• Drive process improvement, standardisation and automation.
\n
• Champion the adoption of technology, ERP and workflow automation across the function.

What you will bring:

• Senior experience in finance operations, financial control or a comparable finance-leadership role.

• A strong technical grounding in controls, reporting and finance processes.
\n
• A track record of operational improvement or transformation.
\n
• Commercial judgement and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.

• Experience with ERP and finance systems, and reporting tools, an advantage.
